Have you seen this movie? It's so random and funny. I bought it from Target for $5 today. Totally worth it.
So while, I'm hanging out at home, I've been on mission clean my closet/clothing out. I've gotten pretty far too, including buying some fabric boxes today for flip flops and office supplies. Random assortment, I realize. I feel better when things are clean. And right now, about everything else in my life, I feel like a disaster. I can't believe I'm still just waiting for some job paperwork to come through before I can go in. That's about 7 weeks I've been just sitting at home. I AM BORED.
On a separate note, and really a happy one, I've got some great things upcoming and I'm doing my best to keep focused on that. Trip to Boston/Amherst for UMASS homecoming, Disney World in January for my first 1/2 marathon and Mike's first trip to Disney as an adult, and of course the holidays!! Today was the first day it actually felt like fall. I mean, it was cold and wet and miserable. I was ready today to pull out my sweaters, boots, and trench coat.

Sorority Wars
While I was in a sorority in college, I admit that our school definitely had a different feel and process than like, large state schools. That doesn't deter me from being obsessed with every sorority movie or show ever produced.
That brings me to Sorority Wars. A Lifetime made for tv movie, starring Lucy Hale (aka Aria from Pretty Little Liars) and Amanda Schull (aka Jody from Center Stage). It's not that great, but I love it.

TV Marathons
Today is Jersey Shore season 3. I still love this show and I'm so excited to see Italy get smushed.
A few weeks ago, I saw Friends with Benefits.
I must admit, I didn't love it. I loved Mila and Justin together, but for some reason I was just expecting more.
I didn't shop today....well at least not for clothing. Yay!

Obsession
I've talked once or twice about my music taste and random obsessions that I have over songs. This isn't a new song by any means, but I heard it today on Elliot in the Morning on DC101 and downloaded it today and have been listening to it at least 10 times today. I just imagine that I would be at a huge party dancing around, drinking, and losing myself.
Speaking of random things that I like, have you seen Up? That movie is FUCKING HILARIOUS. The part where they meet the talking dog Doug? RIDICULOUS.

Twilight
I never really read the Twilight books, or understood what the craze was over the movies. That is, until katmcd and I watched New Moon while we were in Hilton Head. Something about Bella's sadness while missing Edward, just sitting around for months, empty, it made me feel so sad, like I was 2 years ago. Anyways, after that I wanted to watch all of them. I had previously borrowed the first Twilight from katmcd and watched it two nights in a row. So on Tuesday, I went out and bought all 3. I watched New Moon 2 days ago, and tonight I'm just going to relax and watch Eclipse.
But first of course I went to happy hour with MB to just get a few quick drinks. Then I went to the gym, obvi.
Tomorrow is New Year's Eve. I hope it's seriously just low key and full of my friends and really fun.

Things Never to Use as a Pickup...Story
It all started with this giant ring on my finger at the bar on Wednesday. It's not real, but it's large and has lots of (fake) diamonds.
Who bought you that ring? You bought it yourself? Oh well you deserve someone to buy you jewelry. (Uhm, yeah thanks are you offering?)
You haven't had sex in how long? Wow that's a long time. I get laid about every 4th or 5th trip (this man travels for his job, which equates to maybe 3-4 cities in a week or so, minimum 2 trips a month.)
I may have paraphrased some of that, but the gist is that this man katmcd was chatting with kept talking to MB and I after katmcd left and those are a few gems that he said to me. I knew someone who did a job like his once, so I think he was kind of shocked to see that I called him out hooking up with girls so much. Admittedly he was pretty nice and took a lot of my shit but honestly, I really don't need a man who doesn't live here, travels 90% of the time, and is at an average rate of 6 girls a year. I',m not really judging though, because I was crazy awful in college, but at my age, and his age for that matter, that seems a bit high. And that's certainly not the point.
The holidays have been overall pretty nice and filled with a lot of ice skating, movie watching, football watching, and boozing. Speaking of movie watching, JCoupon, Zig and I saw Tron Legacy yesterday. HOLY BADASS MOVIE BATMAN. It was so awesome. And Daft Punk did a great job with the soundtrack. Yay.

Weekend Recap
Friday night was movie date night with MB and we saw Love and Other Drugs. It was....ok. I loved Jake Gyllenhall's character, but Anne Hathaway drove me nuts. I really liked watching their relationship develop throughout the movie and it was interesting seeing how the move progressed. I wonder if maybe I just didn't like it because I have so little faith that people(read: men) are like that. After the movie, I went to bed and slept until 12 the next day.
Saturday I had to close at work, but it was awesome because mb was also closing. Afterwards, we moved across the street to RiRa and met up with katmcd and Uncle Sam, this boy she's kind of seeing. As a back story, the 3 of us met Uncle Sam at the Night of the Living Zoo party. He remembered katmcd's name, facebooked her, and they've been friends ever since. I barely recognized him sans costume but he was tall and cute and so nice. He was constantly asking mb and I questions and was super engaging. Well done katmcd. RiRa was as usual a fabulous time. MB had us all taking oatmeal cookie shots(I have no clue what the hell was in this) and peppermint patty shots(peppermint schnapps and chocolate syrup). We were dancing and singing to this small trio band.
Oh, quick sidenote, Uncle Sam and I did this shot which was straight vodka with an olive. He said that if I take the shot and then eat the olive, I won't taste the vodka at all. I don't like olives, so I just took the shot, pushed the olive aside and moved on. But question, does that actually work?
Today was spent at work almost all day. I was pissed because I missed the Cowboys/Skins game, but I heard they won, so that's awesome. I'm just closing up the day with some movies and hopefully heading to bed early. I have a weird thought that even though this is only a 3 day week it's going to be SUPER long. But I still have 5 unopened presents (I only opened 1 so far!) to open on Saturday morning. I'm proud of myself. Happy Christmas Week!

Movie Date
So, I don't know about you, but I think there are some fabulous movies coming out in the next few weeks.
Harry Potter
I never was into it, never read the books, but enjoyed following the movies when I could.
Love and Other Drugs
This just looks so cute.
Tangled
I really love animated Disney. Reminds me of childhood.
Tron Legacy
How bad ass does this movie look? And how hot is that main guy?
Much like my music taste and really everything else about me, my movie tastes are sort of all over the place. Except I HATE scary movies. I'm also not much of a movie goer. The last movie I saw in theaters was Date Night, during my first weekend with that douche who dumped me over the phone. Anyways, I want to see these movies. I think the holidays are a good time to see movies, especially people like me who don't travel for Christmas or Thanksgiving and need something to do alone rather than sit at home.

Call Me Snookie, or Snooks, or Snickers
Hilton Head was amazing. We layed out, sat in fabulous cabanas with fruity cocktails, played in the waves, watched football, and had a fantastic time.
One of the things I did was I finally saw one of the Twilight movies. It was New Moon, and it was showing at our resort outside. Honestly, I could have done without the thousand of bug bites I now have, but the movie itself was pretty good. I felt bad because I kept asking katmcd questions (bc she loves Twilight and has seen the movies) about things that happened in the first movie that I didn't understand. I liked the movie, I need to see the other ones though. One thing I don't understand is how she just hopped a flight from Seattle to Italy with no money and was there within like 12 hours. I didn't get it. But that's ok, because I liked the movie and I'm interested in seeing the rest.
Also, everyone on this vacation, and not just our group, but others also, LOVED beer koozies. There was even a class/event at our resort for decorating your own koozie. At the Ohio State bar we went to on Sat, they even gave them away. Pretty sweet, no?
The Cowboys lost on Sunday to the Bears, and while MB is happy since she's a Bears fan, I was not. But I just told myself that I was on vacation and since I didn't get to watch, that the game didn't actually happen. Hahahaha. And how did I do in fantasy? I lost. Badly. In both leagues.
And the entire trip to Hilton Head can be summed in these four things:
Teen Mom:
Jersey Shore (they called me Snookie, Snooks, or Snickers all week/weekend):
Little Tiger Snooze:
Hide Your Wife, Hide Your Kids, Even Hide Your Husband:
Just a fabulous trip and Happy Birthday katmcd!

Bedknobs and Broomsticks
I'm up pretty early this Saturday morning, and playing on Hallmark channel is Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Let me just tell you that I have this on VHS and I've just always loved it. My favorite part is when they're in the animated part and it's coming up soon.
Then I'm heading to the pool with MB, the gym, ATL to work for a while, and finally Zig's divorce party. I'm honestly pretty excited about this party and my black eyes have finally gone down a tiny bit. I do have to go buy 4 bottles of champagne though. And hopefully I can meet someone who looks like this:

Today
This is how I feel today:
Have you seen this movie? It's honestly one of the most random and hysterically funny movies ever. My mom had it at her place and we watched it together one night when I was visiting. I loved it so much, I watched it probably 3 more times while I was there and came back to DC and bought myself a copy. Oops. I just can really relate to the girl's frustrations of expecting something different out of life and big changes, etc. I also think the male lead is HOT.
