So yesterday the dude and I went to the outlet mall. Originally we had some plans to head to a college football game, but we had friends out of town or taking it easy this weekend, so we followed suit. I haven't been real hard-core shopping in probably a few years. I tend to buy 1 or 2 things here or there, but never in bulk-ish. We both seriously made out on this trip though.
Here's what he had:
Banana Republic: A nice heavy coat and a puffy vest
Brooks Bros: Sweater ($18-one of the best deals of the day)
Gap: Sweater and Jeans
DSW: 2 pairs of dress shoes
And what I had:
BR: 2 tanks, a sweater, and 2 blouses
Gap: 2 sweaters
Loft: a sweater
Express: pair of jeans
There's possibly a few things that I forgot, but I paid under $150 for all of my goodies. That's absurd pricing. I know one of my blouses from BR was like, $5. I feel so good and am in sweater heaven.
Our closet is exploding though. I guess that's one major thing to deal with when combining apartments. Sharing. I'm bad at it.

The Dingo Ate My Baby And I Needed New Boots
Oh thank goodness I actually got into the office today! It was so nice and I actually learned some stuff, which is always nice.
I just bought these:
Like? Gosh I wish fall was here already. I'm Boston bound in early November and I am thinking heavy sweaters, boots and jeans will be my wardrobe for that trip. Oh and jackets, because duh, it gets cold there.
I've also been debating on signing up for a blog-goodie swap for the fall. I finally did it, and I couldn't be more excited to shop for fall things for my swap-mate.
Too bad it's 77 with a humidity of like 99% outside. Boo.

Want
I think I really want a pair of red or other colored jeans.
I saw this picture in the Zappos catalog (btdubs...who knew they had a catalog) of red pants, bright blue heels, and this purple dress on top. Take away the purple dress, throw on an oversized black off the shoulder sweater, and I think it would make for an amazing outfit. Seriously.

Leather Jackets
Today I walked outside and got a reminder that fall is quickly on it's way. The weather in our area has been unseasonably mild compared to the heat wave that was July. For the last few years, I've been searching for the perfect fall leather jacket. I know sometimes they can be super tacky, and look awful, but I'm still on the hunt.
Here are a few I don't hate:

I Promise I'll Be Better
I have honestly just been too busy and didn't feel like writing much. Things I've done in the past 3 months:
River Tubing
Finished up my latest work contract
Found a new contract
Went to AZ for my cousin's wedding
Went to 4 baseball games
Took my car into the dealership 3 times
Preakness
Gold Cup
Saw Friends with Benefits
Saw Bridesmaids
Vacationed in Riviera Maya
Went to Colombia
Visited Boston
Was given a stuffed lobster. I love that lobster.
Oh, and I shopped.......a lot. I did a lot of little stuff in there too, but that's the bulk of it. Speaking of shopping, today I bought the cutest pair of flowery wedges from DSW. It was raining, I figured shoes were in order.
ANDDDDDDDD....in 8 days, I get to see this man again(even though I'm deeply saddened by his recent nuptials):

Battle Wounds
So, remember that time that I got drunk on a Sunday watching football, went to sit down on my couch, slipped, and deeply sliced my hand? Well, I do. It was 2 days ago. I'm an idiot and it's a deep cut and it hurts quite a bit. It's on the inside right by my pinky, very close to where my finger meets my hand. I cut it in 3 different directions, if someone could please help me understand how that happened, that'd be great.
Today I have shopping fever! I have 2 sweaters and a necklace on hold at work and told myself if I still like them tonight when I go in, I will buy them. However, NY and Co is having a good sale and they have some cute sweaters. I feel like my fall/winter wardrobe is a joke, so I'm working on fixing that. I have acquired recently 2 cardigans(one is white with blue stripes and one is purple), 1 vneck sweater(black), and 1 pair of brown flat over the knee boots (I already have a pair of black knee high flat boots). I don't know why, but I've had a really love/hate relationship with sweaters so I'm glad to see that I'm in the "love" phase.
I also think as an NFL supporter, huge Dallas Cowboy lover, and a family member of someone taken by Breast Cancer, that I need this:
It's one of the NFL supports Breast Cancer research products. There's a little Cowboys star in that right corner, and on the back is the NFL logo with the Breast Cancer research ribbon. So cute.
For now though, it's off to find something to eat for lunch, and then killing time.

Shoe Dazzle!
I really try not to post twice in a day, but this is too good to pass up. Over a year ago, a very good friend and coworker(at the time) told me about Shoe Dazzle.
I just joined because I've been dying/stalking/waiting for them to offer size 11 shoes. I'm tall, I have big feet, I'm used to it. Every month, you get an email with 3 choices, usually shoes, but sometimes bags or jewelry, that has been customized with things you'd like. Kim Kardashian, whom I love, started this and still works on it with a team of stylists. It's super cheap ($39.95/month) and you only pay if you choose a pair of shoes from them. But seriously, $39.95 for these:
This is just a small sample. I'm obviously in love.
Click here and get me referral points! (You'll get an extra 20% off if you go through me for the first month!)

That's a Window, Not a Door
I slept 11 hours last night after working a few hours. I also broke down and bought 3 new sweaters for fall yesterday. They are so cute. but I, like everyone else am ready to get into sweaters and flat boots.
Not much is going on around here though. Friday night I went out with R, E Law, J Coupon, and Zig to Blackfinn. R had won a VIP thing so we went. J Coupon and I ended up staying until last call and we had a nice time, but I had the hangover of death for absolutely no reason on Saturday. And, the funniest part of Friday night was J Coupon and I were sitting outside for a bit, and we saw this guy SLAM into the glass window. Hi, it's not a door. Honestly it was hilarious. It's been in the 70s and so damn gorgeous the last two days. Right now, I'm just sitting on my patio enjoying the weather. I might be grabbing drinks with K2 a little bit later, but who honestly knows. Kind of boring considering my last few nights and weekends. Anyways, have an amazing Labor Day holiday.
