This is my hair brush:
It's now broken and sad. I think it was just so old that it gave out. I don't have thick hair or curly hair. My brush was just tired.
Another great weekend here. My mom and her husband and his mom were in town and we got to play tourist. My dude came along and met the fam, and overall we had a great time. Then dude and I went to a going away party and moved to a hookah bar, coming home around 4am. Oops. It was such a great time. I am so happy.
I've got a great weekend coming up, complete with a MB happy hour and a dinner with katmcd for our ritual birthday dinner(her's last Thursday, mine next Tuesday). I'm very excited to hang out with them and get some girl time.
I also made like one of the best meals ever on Friday: Filet Mignon with burst cherry tomatoes, breaded zucchini, blue cheese and dill sauce, and homemade cheesecake brownies, dyed orange (partly for Halloween, partly for my dude since it's his favorite color). Also, we think we have Halloween costume ideas!!! More to come later.
Tomorrow....LET'S GO COWBOYS!!!!!!

I Will Not Get Sick
Saturday night the dude and I went via limo and like, 9 other people to the grand opening of this club named Opera. It was actually a birthday party that we went with. Holy crapola. It.was.awesome. Most of the time, I'm not much of a nightclub/lounge kind of person. But I admit that every now and then I freaking love it.
Also seriously, the last time I was in a limo was probably high school prom.
But now, I'm still struggling to feel rested and today I started to get that twinging itch in my throat. I must not get sick. Not that I'm doing much, but I am really trying to run a little bit every day before the Army 10-Miler and getting sick would stop that.

I Love Butler!
I think I'm the only person in the world who picked Butler to beat Pitt in my bracket. Was that game not ridiculous?
I was out watching the fight with MB in Eastern market at the Ugly Mug. Then we wandered down to Pour House. I haven't been feeling all that well reacently since Mike and Mike's birthday and then St. Patrick's Day. Oh St. Patrick's day. Let me just tell you, never go to Chinatown when NCAA tournament is there AND it's a national drinking holiday. It was a disaster. Then we met up with friends at a new beirgarten called Standard near U st. After that, we bounced around to Bar Pillar and Sullys and then cabbed home.
About this mixed signals thing I mentioned in the last post, I've talked it over with many people and him, and all I can say is....Oh, boys, you're so stupid. In the end, I just was honest, and he's been amazing. He even helped me pack yesterday and watched basketball with me and took me and MB out last night.
Speaking of last night, let me just describe the fucking weirdest metro ride ever. We get to Capitol South metro where this group of people are holding this girl up who is collapsing from alcohol, then the metro lady comes over and tries to save her. We go downstairs and this guy starts chatting with us, and it turns out he's their underage gay friend. He then missed his metro with the rest of his friends and metroed with us to Metro Center where he consistently asked MB to go get Jumbo Slice with him, although he's gay and was telling us about how this was his first time wearing makeup. Followed by this clown leaving, two more got on the metro and started talking with MB. She had a whole conversation with them lying, telling them she was from Canada. Then the two guys texted each other....while sitting next to each other. Ridiculous. I was so over it.
Today I went to Rosslyn and ate my first Dim Sum. Well maybe not, but they brought it around on carts and it was such a delicious brunch. And I really liked the company.
Tomorrow is moving day for me and Zig. I.am.nervous. And obviously excited. I love living alone, but I know that this will be fine and very fun. Sigh, ok, here we go.

He Just Ka-Kawed At Her!
Last night katmcd and I went to Eastern Market for dinner at Banana Cafe and then to Molly Malone's. Eastern Market is an interesting phenomenon. Every time I go there I have a different experience. Last night we were standing when the bartender just looks at katmcd and says, you, sit there. So, we sat down. Then she was nice enough to give me a ride home. I was in bed at 9:30pm, and slept until 9am. Oh it was so lovely.
Today I've already been super busy, running a ton of errands and I'm feeling pretty good. I just have a few more things to do, and then I'll be hitting the gym.
Tonight, is BLAKE GRIFFIN NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Game's at 7, and I'm thinking it will be a great night. I hope.

Must.Stop.Shopping.
Oh boy, I've been on a shopping kick lately. In the last week and a day or so, I've bought 2 pairs of jeans, a work skirt, 2 tank tops, 2 pairs of shoes, a work bag, and new 600 thread count sheets. And I move in 2 weeks. Holy crap.
Last Saturday katmcd, Glen Coco, Mike and Mike in the morning, and my coworkers E, B, and K all came out for the DC Leprechaun Lap. Oh holy crap, it was awesomely fun. Everybody was blackout, I spent most of yesterday trying to figure out with katmcd and one of the Mikes what the hell happened to us. We still don't know, but I know we had such a great time.
Work is going well still, really busy as usual. And I've been going on a few dates/spending time with a good guy. He treats me really well and I'm pretty happy about that.
This weekend I'm looking forward to floor seats to the Wizards/Clippers game and this man:

This Will Probably Be A Long One
But first I have to pay my respects to a few people. First is my great-grandmother. She passed away last week. She had such a great life, and a long one, 95 years. Second is someone I didn't know very well, but our paths crossed a few times as he was a friend of my ex's. His name was Sean, I think he was around my age and he passed away this weekend from a heart attack, or so they think. So to both of those people, I hope they find peace, and know that lots of people cared for you both.
Now, moving on to good things, there's a few giveaways:
1. My friend Legs over at Steak and Legs is giving away some Disney memorabilia. Who doesn't love that?
2. Over at Quarter Life Prep, she's celebrating her blogaversary with some awesome prizes.
Moving on from that, work is just moving along very nicely. It's getting stressful, but I'm still having a great time.
This Saturday a nice group of friends are going to be on a bar crawl in DC for St. Patrick's Day. Please don't ask me why this is 2 weeks early, because I honestly have NO idea. I'm really looking forward to because I had such a great time on it last year.
Last weekend was one of my bff MB's birthday. She chose to go to Mighty Pint to start. Katmcd was nice enough to pick up some awesome glasses and a sash for MB and then bought us all some beads. We bounced around there for a while before moving on to Bottom Line. My Mike from Mike and Mike in the morning was nice enough to come too! He's really pleasantly surprised me, and I get to see him twice this week. He is exciting and treats me well. I hope he thinks the same of me (exciting, kind, fun). Anyways, MB had a great time and everyone was just in a good mood. It was a wonderful weekend.
Tonight was terrible on the metro, but MB and I went on a really nice trip to Pentagon City and I bought some good stuff, and then I went to the gym. It was a very up and down Monday.
OH FML. I just got an email from my ex.

Going Out On School Nights
Oh crap, Sarg went out on a school night and had tooooooooo much fun. Last night, my little from my sorority who works part time at Sign of the Whale invited me to their staff invite night. It was a free hour of open bar from 9 to 10. So MB and I trekked there, and on the way saw something like this van:
It pulled over right as we were walking by, but then I noticed it was a church group, and they had a few more not-so-creepy vans behind it. Weird.
Then, Zig came and met us and we enjoyed the free hour of booze and then it started to get crowded....really crowded. Zig said he had a friend who was bartending like at the next bar, Mighty Pint, so we went there. On our way out of Sign of the Whale I had a traumatizing sighting of my ex from college.
At Mighty Pint, Becky from Becky's Fund (of whom I've gone to Gold Cup with and get their emails, etc) was having some random thing where you vote on her laptop for.....something, and you get a free shot. So I had that to shake off the ex sighting, and they also were giving out pop chips and MB and Zig confiscated like 5 bags. It was pretty funny. Mighty Pint was a total blast, MB and I shortly met these 2 friends, Mike and Mike. No lie. Had I mentioned that on Saturday night MB and I met 2 guys named Winston and Vladimir. We checked their id's naturally.
Anyways, back to Mike and Mike, I have no idea how we even started chatting with them, but I ended up dancing the night away and then we had a nice little evening. Although I have one complaint, this morning my face was so damn red from his scruff on his face. Dear friend, shave your face, because it's hurting mine. K thanks bye. Anyways, today I was dead. So dead that I didn't get to work until 11. Whoops. Then I had to come home and take a nap because I just can't function. I'm even skipping the gym tonight because I just don't have the energy, which is unheard of for me.
Well, it's time for some Pretty Little Liars and an early bedtime.

Shiny Happy People
I realize that isn't the real video but the original video wouldn't let me fucking embed it. Of course.
Anyways, I really love love REM. Seriously, I had my first encounter with them when I was about 10 and I've had a secret soft-spot for them ever since.
I could not ask for better friends. After a 60 hour work week, I love that I can count on them to party like the best of them with me. Last night mb, katmcd, and I went to Bottom Line. Glen Coco came for a while too! After a while, I was just not having the greatest time and was thinking that I was just wasting time and money and since I have volleyball today I closed my tab around 12 with every intention of going home. No later than me putting down the pen I signed my check with do I look to my right and see Banana Bread Ray! BBR is a friend of mb and I's who we met actually while watching football last year (2009) at the pub. He is legitimately the nicest guy ever and his friends were hilarious. We ended up hanging out with them and taking yeager bombs (I had at least 2....ick) and having a great time until the bar started to close up. The best part.....my tab was $10. I FUCKING LOVE THE BOTTOM LINE.
And not to toot my own horn, but I curled my hair last night and this morning it looks fucking amazing. What the hell? Ok, I'll take it.
And now, off to volleyball!

That Time I Got Punched in a Semi-Formal Dress
Last night was my firm's Winter Social and let me just say...SUCCESS. I hosted a wonderful pregame. Lots of food and really fun people from work and of course my date for the evening, katmcd. Everyone was dressed up and looking gorgeous. At around 8:15 we hopped in 3 cabs and headed for the National Building Museum. The building was just as gorgeous as I remember. We checked our coats and started heading for the food and for the bar.
The place is so big, and there were SO many people there, that honestly we all got separated, but thanks to the invention of cell phones, we all met up at Rocket Bar with Zig. I dont' know how, but my entire project team showed up there, minus my friend E of course. I have NO clue where she wandered off to after the Building Museum. Anyways, I started to lose my sense of......self control(?) again and started bouncing around. Zig and katmcd eventually both left and I stayed. I was hanging out with people that I have seen in like 2 months, and then of course my project team who are AMAZING.
I am not sure why, but I think I got punched or like, knocked in the jaw by my coworker. No clue. Then when I woke up this morning there was basically a warped piece of pizza sitting on my stove top. Wtf? I guess I came home and tried to cook it but didn't pay attention and it was burnt to a crisp. Kind of sad right?
Tonight...Rira. Watch out!

Death and Taxes
Quite a bit is happening right now. Because I now have a move date, I'm going through my apartment and analyzing if I actually need things. It's applying to all areas of my life now though. Trying to get my debt all settled, cleaning out all of my old clothes, and getting my taxes done. Stupid stupid taxes. But I feel good and accomplished, which I needed.
Also, how great is the movie Stranger than Fiction? Really good.
Anyways, totally unrelated, I've been thinking a lot about the mess I've become in my personal life over the last few weeks and I've come to a conclusion. I know how much other bloggers I read love graphs so I'm obliging:
As I become happier in my job, I become more of a hot mess at an exponential rate. Therefore, high job satisfaction=high level of hot mess. It's amazing how much job satisfaction affects me.
This Friday is my company's Winter Social. It's at the National Building Museum which is a gorgeous building that I once went to and had a horrible NYE at. I'm looking forward to erasing that memory. I'm having a quick little get-together before the party and then will most likely be at RiRa to see a friend's band. And I'm hoping to have a fabulous dress to wear. Yay awesome weekend coming up. But first, must get through this week.

Tree is Down
Today I had to work an early shift and then MB and I went to Crumbs in Clarendon. They were giving away free cupcakes because they just opened. I'm not big on cake honestly, and cupcakes don't really do it for me, but I figured I'd try it. I got the Grasshopper, chocolate with mint frosting and chocolate chips. It was pretty good, but it's the size of a fucking muffin. It's so heavy and will take me a few sittings to actually get through.
Then I ran quickly to Pentagon City to return something, but ugh, that place is such a disaster. I came home and took the tree down, now there is this empty space in my apartment. It stares at me and is angry that it doesn't have a cute tree in it. I also dug out my ironing board to throw out. This ironing board has a story and a history with it, because it was bought for me by somebody I thought I wanted to be with back in 2008. He was a total relationship failure, and for some reason I kept the board. Did I mention that I haven't had an iron in over a year? So my mom bought me a steamer for Christmas, and today I threw out the ironing board. I feel good.
Last night, MB, Zig, and I met for happy hour at the Bottom Line. I love that bar. $1 Miller Lites on Friday night? Yes please. Tonight MB and I will be going to Rustico to have dinner and drinks. Also there will be some playoff football watching perhaps.
Yet again, 2011>2010.

Oh Hey 2011
Happy New Year friends. How is it treating you so far?
Let me just tell you....in the epic battle that is going to be 2011 Bad Life Decisions v. Sarah (Good Life Decisions), I am already down like 10 to 0.
Last night was wonderful though. My friend A and her bf D hosted a really nice pregame get-together and we drank plenty of Boones Farm and some really randomly delicious strawberry champagne type drink and dirty shirleys and beer and power hour and crab cakes. Oh man, it was great. Then me, mb, zig, and jcoupon tried to get into Rira, but they had a 20 dollar cover and a line that was at a dead stop. These 2 guys behind us had just come from Hard Times and decided to head back there. I started talking to them and we decided to tag along. Of course, my bartender friend Joey is working so we got to hang out with him. We all had gotten some party favors and hats from A's party and we were taking some pics and taking a lot of shots. A LOT OF SHOTS. I think my tab was like 15 dollars. SWEET.
Following the champagne toast and a lot of alcohol, we went to Silver Diner. I honestly have barely any recollection of eating my delicious breakfast of eggs, bacon, and home fries which is kind of sad.
I woke up this morning at 8 fucking o'clock. 8 AM. FML. After talking to one of my coworkers today we decided it was because of all of the sugar in the boones and champagne and stuff. I went to my couch and watched the Rose Parade and some of Eurotrip. How fucking awesome is that movie? It's so stupid, but it's really hilarious. Anyways, I had to go to work a bit this afternoon and tomorrow I have to work super early, and then I'll go watch my Cowboys in their last game of the season.
Honestly, I'm already having a great year though. Last night was spent with some of the greatest people/fake family members and it was low key, relaxed, and knocked me out. Yay 2011!

Weekend Recap
Friday night was movie date night with MB and we saw Love and Other Drugs. It was....ok. I loved Jake Gyllenhall's character, but Anne Hathaway drove me nuts. I really liked watching their relationship develop throughout the movie and it was interesting seeing how the move progressed. I wonder if maybe I just didn't like it because I have so little faith that people(read: men) are like that. After the movie, I went to bed and slept until 12 the next day.
Saturday I had to close at work, but it was awesome because mb was also closing. Afterwards, we moved across the street to RiRa and met up with katmcd and Uncle Sam, this boy she's kind of seeing. As a back story, the 3 of us met Uncle Sam at the Night of the Living Zoo party. He remembered katmcd's name, facebooked her, and they've been friends ever since. I barely recognized him sans costume but he was tall and cute and so nice. He was constantly asking mb and I questions and was super engaging. Well done katmcd. RiRa was as usual a fabulous time. MB had us all taking oatmeal cookie shots(I have no clue what the hell was in this) and peppermint patty shots(peppermint schnapps and chocolate syrup). We were dancing and singing to this small trio band.
Oh, quick sidenote, Uncle Sam and I did this shot which was straight vodka with an olive. He said that if I take the shot and then eat the olive, I won't taste the vodka at all. I don't like olives, so I just took the shot, pushed the olive aside and moved on. But question, does that actually work?
Today was spent at work almost all day. I was pissed because I missed the Cowboys/Skins game, but I heard they won, so that's awesome. I'm just closing up the day with some movies and hopefully heading to bed early. I have a weird thought that even though this is only a 3 day week it's going to be SUPER long. But I still have 5 unopened presents (I only opened 1 so far!) to open on Saturday morning. I'm proud of myself. Happy Christmas Week!

Weekend Recap
My weekend in VA Beach was pretty great. Obviously we ran and survived the 10 Miler. It was the coldest thing I've ever experienced. It was painful, but we finished, and the after party was pretty sweet. Sam Adams beer, a band, food, and a really nice time. We also got the freakin sweetest finisher metal that doubled as a beer bottle opener. Thanks guys, great race.
It snowed almost all of Saturday night as of 5pm. We got to watch the beach parade, and then went to a nice bar and had a cocktail. It was a pretty early night and then today we drove back and stopped in Fredericksburg for some Sonic. DELICIOUS.
This week is going to be rough. I just know work is going to be really busy and I am still really enjoying it so it's fine. Next week is our project's holiday party and this Friday my mom comes in for our Christmas dinner and stuff.
I don't know. I think I'm just ready for 2011.

Beers at 9am
Tomorrow morning, katmcd, MB, and I will be at this:
v.
v.
It's just at FedEx which is convenient. We have a full tailgate setup ready with cornhole, and food and mimosa mix ready to go. It'll be my second college football game ever. It's not that I never liked college football (and we already know about my obsession with pro-football) but my college didn't have a football team, so I never really got into it. I'm really excited to go and tailgate and just have a lovely little Saturday.

I Found Waldo Again
What a fabulous weekend.
I have to quickly tangent because I realize when I wrote about going to lunch with the work guy I totally spaced on the best thing ever. I was asking like what he had done that day because it was Veteran's day, and while I had to work, he didn't. His response, "I went to look at bonsai trees because I want to make my apartment look more Asian." No fucking joke. I did everything I could do not to laugh. He's so nice, but really ridiculous.
Ok, back to the weekend. I've been beaming since I heard the news about my upcoming project so I'm sure that helped. Friday night I had a committee meeting for a networking committee that I'm on at Whitlows. I had a few beers there and then met up with MB. From there we went to Hunan. I've heard about this place forever and MB's always trying to get me to go, but I finally caved and omfg what weird place. We found 2 spots at the bar luckily, sat down, and ordered beers the size of....well, I don't know what the size was, but it was more than double a pint glass. And for only $4.00. AMAZING. We each had 2 of those, and got some sushi and spring rolls. And the music was awesome. I would have never even thought that I was in some Asian restaurant had I not ordered sushi. After that we went to RiRa of course. I think that's our new regular place. We called J Coupon to come meet up with us. Then one of the guys on my networking committee and his friend came. I talked to people, danced a lot, and had so.much.fun. There was one random part where the guy on my committee's friend got in a fight with some random dude. Like pushing and probably almost punching. J Coupon helped break it up and MB had some guy in a choke-hold. I was pretty impressed. That was ridiculous, but I was so waste-face that I didn't even care.
Yesterday I had to work for a few hours and while exhausting, had talked about watching the fight. I called up MB, Zig and J Coupon to decide on venue. Originally it was going to be Buffalo Billiards to make it easier on Zig but he ended up bailing so we ended up at Hard Times in Springfield. That place is....different. It was totally packed but we managed to find a spot to stand out of the way and up against a mini-island thing.
Another tangent coming now. So for some reason, I remembered seeing a Pacquiao fight before, and I just assumed it was UFC. We got there and are watching the prelims and I'm thinking, "Why are they in a boxing ring and not in the Octogon? Luckily, MB also thought we were watching UFC, and we both had this realization moment where we both figured out we were actually watching boxing. Whoops. I mean, they did put the UFC fight on also, so we watched both. And I was right, J Coupon confirmed that at one point over the last 3+ years that I have watched a Pacquiao fight. I'm just kind of retarded or something. Did I mention that Pacquiao has a tattoo on his chest that looks like a sperm? Just sayin.
After having this moment, we just pulled out our Lilly Pulitzer bright pink koozies and drank our way through the fight. We chatted with a few people, of whom included a somewhat ghetto man who moved from Centerville, a man who gave MB some of his wings, a man with a flat-top haircut, a man with super long hair slicked back, and waldo. Seriously, Hard Times Springfield for the win.
Following the fight, we went through the drive-thru at McDonalds for some late-night food and then I drove us home. My favorite thing about this weekend is that we turned nothing into something. We just had a lot of fun.
Next week, katmcd, MB and I are headed to the Indiana/Penn State game together. I'm looking forward to tailgating and having a great time. Until then, this week will be a lot of document review, finishing up training, and doing last minute things. And also, Thanksgiving is a week from Thursday. WTF?
I hope everyone had as fun of a weekend as I did.

100 Tabs Coming Soon To A Bar Near You
Yesterday, katmcd, MB and I took an impromptu trip down to Charlottesville. We spent the day in a historical campus tour and then walked around the campus. It was so beautiful. The leaves had all changed color and it happened to be Parent's Weekend. We walked all over campus and took pictures and just really enjoyed taking a mini-break from DC. Of course we also went to the bookstore. I had lost my old longsleeved UVA during the Army 10-Miler so I bought a new one and then we had a major find. LILLY PULITZER KOOZIES. And to make it so much better, there were 3 styles, all $5. Mine has gators on it, one is even playing the saxophone. They are so random and so pink, but so incredible.
After our afternoon of walking, we tried to get my car out of the garage so we could go to my mom's place, change clothes and then head back to UVA and go to the bars. But because of all of the parents, we couldn't get out, so instead we went to have a beer at the Virginian. After that beer, we decided to just go to car, grab our clothes for the night, change and then repark my car closer to the bars. We would forgo going to the apartment completely.
First we went to the Irish bar and then we went back to the Virginian. I was really rude to this girl from Arlington, and I really didn't mean to be, I was just not in the mood to chat with her. 10 minutes later, she was crying over some boy. I guess she was fine. I don't know, like, if you're going to cry, step outside, or go to the bathroom. Don't just sit at the bar making some big scene. Other than that, and the fact that this fucking bitch spilled her damn cranberry fucking vodka cocktail all over my cream colored sweater and ruined it, we actually had such a great time. It was really relaxing. And cheap. And we had Sonic. De-fucking-licious.
Now it's just up to the Cowboys to hopefully try and win against the pack tonight.

Halloween Is My Favorite
While last night was really fun but pretty relaxed, I still think this year was great. We had a change in plans because the metro was horribly fucked up. We met at MBs for pregame and some dinner and then went to RiRa in Clarendon. RiRa is my new favorite bar. I love the bands and just tend to have a great time when we're there. Then we popped over to Whitlows which also had a band. It started to get really busy around 12, we left to try and get back to RiRa but the line was insane. Tom, katmcd, Al's friend Adam, and I decided to just bail and go to Silver Diner. After a delicious late-night meal, we got in a cab to get home, but the asshole driver says he will only go to 1 stop. WTF? So we cabbed to half-way between our places and then ran home. It was so damn cold.
Did you see these people last night? If you did, it was us!

Night of the Living Zoo
Last night was Ri-Di-Cu-Lous.
Katmcd and MB came here and we got some Chinese food to eat while we drank beers and some firefly vodka. Our costumes were amazing looking. About 2 hours later we headed for the metro in the frigid cold. We saw only a few other people in costume and then heard the metro announcer say that there was no trains stopping at Metro Center. WTF? So we hopped off at Foggy Bottom and got in a cab. 10 minutes later we were pulling up at the zoo and getting really excited. I mean, we were already drunk, so anything was going to be excited.
For anyone who's never been to the National Zoo, it's basically a long path down a hill and the exhibits are on either side. It's free admission (except special events like last night). We started trekking down the hill to where the ticket takers were, and then b-lined right for the beer ticket table. 4 dollar beers, not terrible. It was sponsored by Magic Hat and they had this special Green Apple Beer. It was pretty delicious. There were a few exhibits open, some magicians and entertainers, and then a tent with bands. There was also this amazing drum band with like, I don't even know, crazy awesome drummers and they were all dressed as zombies. It wasn't like Drumline where it was band drums, these were huge African style drums and they made some pretty sick beats. Then we just jammed to the band and danced around with all of the other crazies. Randomly enough I ran into one of my volleyball teammates and his wife.
Afterwards, katmcd had convinced our friend Tom to come get us, so he drove us home. But it was the LONGEST DRIVE EVER. He took us through Georgetown down M St. Probably sad for him, but the 3 of us were totally tanked and yelling out the window at everyone in costume. At one point we had stopped (obviously bc of traffic at 12am), and this man dressed as Fred Flinstone came running up to the car and then JUMPED OVER IT. What in the fucking world??? I think we all sat there in shock for a solid minute. What in the hell? Who would jump over someone else's car in the middle of traffic at midnight? Also, when I say he jumped over the car, he literally jumped and like landed/slid across the roof of the car. If you know this man, please, send him to the damn circus or cheerleading camp. He should make a living off of those skills.
Following that drive, we stopped in Courthouse to go to our friend Steak and Leg's Halloween party. It was pretty nice. Their apartment is just so cute and they seriously are both so nice and friendly and always make us feel welcome. It was nice, except for this one part where I literally ran away from this weird man. I ran around the kitchen and behind Legs' sister's roommate Mike. We all just laughed about it after that guy left though. Creepster.
After the nice but short stop at the party, we piled back in the car to go to Taco Bell. Once there, we were waiting in a line of a few cars, and then this group of men standing outside of the car. What in the world? Did these men walk there and like order with the car (bc you can't just walk up to a drive-thru)? Or were they in that car and all got out to order and pay by themselves? Honestly, I really don't know. All I know is that I kept yelling at them out the window.
This was such a crazy fun way to start Halloween. And I still have another night ahead of me. Thank goodness I'm not hungover.

Weekend Recap
Let me just tell you how honestly fabulous this weekend was. Friday night I had a short shift at work, was home and asleep by 10:30. Saturday, I slaved all day in the kitchen to make this:
Basically, it's a healthy version of a chicken pot pie. Katmcd, MB and I needed to eat well before our race on Sunday. We all gathered at katmcd's house to eat and have a fabulous afternoon carving pumpkins. Here is mine:
And the group's:
Then we went over to the DC Armory to pick up our race packets and walk around the expo. And finally, we walked next door to RFK stadium to see DC United's final home game of the season and Jaime (Hi-Mee) Moreno's final game before retiring. We had such a great time and it was my very first United game! We joined in on the cheering and just had this fabulous evening.
Obviously this morning was the Army 10-miler. I totally freaked myself out, but in the end, we had such a great time. My unofficial race time is 2hr 20min. To me, that's fine. I never in my wildest (or horrific) dreams did I ever think I'd be able to complete 10 miles, and to think that I did, and I ran a solid 7.5 of them, I'm just so proud of myself. I'm also so proud of katmcd and MB for running and trying and really just enjoying the experience. I'll post pictures when the official ones are up.
I'm so happy that we finished the race together. I'm so happy we had such a great weekend. And I am PUMPED for the Halloween weekend we have coming up.
